History
Imperial House was designed by Melin Grossman, and Samuel Halperin bought the Wright estate and built the Imperial House with a Chicago investment group. Robert Turchin served as the general contractor for this iconic building. The building resembles a smaller version of the Fontainebleau Hotel, but instead of customary balconies, it offers Florida rooms, with only line A featuring balconies. With a fascinating history rooted in the glamorous past of Miami Beach, the Imperial House has long been associated with the legendary Meyer Lansky, who lived on the second floor during his later years. Built in 1963, this 16-story building, with just 127 units. as of today, the Imperial House is undergoing a major concrete renovation, preserving its historic charm
